Free PDF Books of NBT India under StayHomeIndiaWithBooks Initiative

Amidst the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus pandemic, over 1.3 billion people of India are in 21-days long lockdown. To help people make use of their time at home National Book Trust, India (aka NBT India) has launched the StayHomeIndiaWithBooks initiative. NBT India is an autonomous institution under the Ministry of HRD, Government of India, tasked with the promotion of book culture and reading habits in the country.

Under the StayHomeIndiaWithBooks initiative, NBT India is offering more than 100 free PDF books to the book lovers of India. These books can be downloaded from NBT India website. The institutions has clarified that these PDF books are only for personal use and any other commercial or unauthorized use is not permitted.

StayHomeIndiaWithBooks scheme is fast gaining popularity among book lovers. The cache of books available for download includes books from a variety of genre like fiction, novels, children’s literature, teacher’s handbook, biographies, popular science and books for young adults. As NBT India is a multilingual publishing house, it is not surprising that these books are available in languages such as Hindi, English, Asamiya, Bangla, Guajarati, Malayalam, Odia, Marathi, Kokborok, Mizo, Bodo, Nepali, Tamil, Punjabi, Telugu, Kannada, Urdu and Sanskrit.
